Join acclaimed Northern Ireland pianist Cahal Masterson for an enchanting solo recital on Tuesday, 29th October 2024, at the historic St. Macartin's Cathedral in Enniskillen. This captivating evening will feature the delicate piano works of Clara Schumann, seamlessly intertwined with some of the most tender compositions by her husband, Robert Schumann. The programme also includes Belfast-born composer Stephen Gardner's contemporary masterpiece, The Brahmdel Variations, offering a modern counterpoint to Brahms' cherished Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel. Masterson, celebrated for his exceptional technique and emotive performances, brings a deep connection to this repertoire.

ULSTER BRASS (QUINTET)

Ulster Brass is an ensemble comprising of players from the Ulster Orchestra. With a combined experience of 40 years, the ensemble can cater for all occasions with a broad range of styles. Some of their recent engagements include BBC’s Songs of Praise and The Nolan Show. The group is also highly active providing educational workshops in schools throughout the country.

The Fidelio Trio at Saint Macartin's Cathedral

The virtuosic Fidelio Trio — Darragh Morgan (violin), Tim Gill (cello), and Mary Dullea (piano) — return to Music in Fermanagh on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, at St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen, for an evening of exceptional chamber music. The programme begins with Schubert’s lyrical String Trio in E-flat major, D. 929, followed by Beethoven's much loved and dramatic Piano Trio in D major, Op. 70, No. 1 ("Ghost"), known for its haunting second movement. The concert concludes with Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4, a groundbreaking work that bridged Romanticism and modernism. Renowned for their dynamic performances and international acclaim, The Fidelio Trio offers a rich exploration of the string trio repertoire, uniting melodic beauty, emotional depth, and innovative harmony.

Shortlisted for the 2016 Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards, The Fidelio Trio broadcast regularly on BBC Radio 3, RTÉ Lyric FM, and have been featured on Sky Arts. Since their debut at London’s Southbank Centre, The Fidelio Trio have regularly appeared at London's Wigmore Hall, Dublin's National Concert Hall, Kilkenny and Belfast Festivals as well as celebrated concerts throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
